Absa Bank Botswana fosters talent development, partners with One Young World  

As part of its commitment to empowering its employees by providing skills development to support them in achieving their professional objectives, Absa Bank Botswana has collaborated with One Young World. Through this dedication, the  bank sponsored 12 colleagues from across the continent to attend the One Young World Summit. The Summit gives colleagues the opportunity chance to interact with powerful political, corporate, and humanitarian leaders from a variety of fields and nations who offer their knowledge, expertise, ideas, and thoughts on ways to harness knowledge and skills and accelerate social impact.

One Young World works to identify the most influential young people in every nation. Many of the One Young World delegates are high-performing individuals who are invited to the Summit by foresightful managers who recognise the importance of sustainability and the value of talent development

One Young World collaborates with more than 190 international companies, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), and academic institutions. Leading businesses from every industry include One Young World in their global personnel development, retention, and attraction strategies. Last year, Absa sponsored 12 colleagues from across the continent to attend the One Young World Summit alongside another bright young talent from across the world. This year, the opportunity has been extended to 20 colleagues across the continent, with four selected from Botswana to join the 2022 cohort – Kenanao Phele, Omphile Nkokou, Tlotlo Motlamme, and Keaobaka Bome. The group will be traveling to Manchester to attend the Summit on 4 September until 9 September 2022.
