The First National Bank Botswana collaborates in signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Boitekanelo College on improving the youth (students and the College graduates). This collaboration is aimed to transfer knowledge and skills onto students through professional interactions with FNBB staff, being career coaching and internship just to name a few.
This initiative is part of FNBB’s shared value and sustainability strategy, where the Bank seeks to collaborate with local colleges and universities to unearth young talent and expose them to the world of work at an early stage. Inclusive in the MoU, FNBB will receive on-going students and graduates from the universities for graduate development programmes, industrial attachment, and group career coaching.
“Our shared value promise drives our collaboration with communities to create social and economic value, and we believe that developing and upskilling young people is a step in the right direction towards sustainable economic development. This will greatly help them as they begin their working lives that will eventually progress into established careers,” said the FNBB’s Human Capital Business Partner, Ms. Maureen Otukile.
During the MoU signing ceremony the FNBB staff and Boitekanelo College executives expressed their gratitude to the Bank for the collaboration will be of great value to their students and graduates. FNBB is committed to making a positive change by upskilling young people in Botswana with the goal of helping them become high-value and high-performing individuals.
